Accountant

Arabic Mandi Restaurant is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee the financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, cost accounting, and bookkeeping. This role requires the ability to accurately manage financial data and support the restaurant's daily business activities. The Accountant will be responsible for supervising a team of five individuals, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all financial records while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards. The Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the restaurant by preparing and analyzing financial statements, overseeing the accounting processes, and providing reliable financial information to support decision-making. Candidates must possess strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and preferably have prior experience working in a restaurant environment. The ability to understand accounting principles and workflows is essential for success in this role, as well as effective team leadership capabilities to manage and mentor the accounting team.
Responsibilities

Manage all accounting transactions including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to keep management informed of the financial status.
Oversee cost accounting procedures to monitor restaurant expenses and ensure accurate cost allocation.
Maintain and update bookkeeping records ensuring all financial data is recorded promptly and appropriately.
Lead and supervise a team of five accounting personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with management to prepare budgets and forecasts and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure timely payment to vendors and handle billing inquiries efficiently.
Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure all statutory financial compliance is met.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems and operations for greater accuracy and efficiency.
Support continuous learning and development within the accounting team to maintain high standards of work.
