Fleet Officer

ARAR Group is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Fleet Officer to oversee the efficient management and operation of the company fleet. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards through meticulous scheduling of preventive maintenance and repairs. The ideal candidate will leverage their knowledge of fleet management software and logistics coordination to streamline vehicle utilization and ensure compliance with safety and operational policies. With a focus on optimizing fuel and resource consumption, the Fleet Officer will contribute significantly to the operational success of ARAR Group's fleet services. The Fleet Officer reports on various aspects of fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, fuel management, and GPS tracking, to achieve operational efficiency. This role requires a candidate with a solid background in automobile, mechanical, or transport management disciplines, and at least 3 years of experience in fleet operations management. Although this position does not involve team management, the Fleet Officer works closely with service providers and internal departments to coordinate logistics effectively and maintain high standards of fleet readiness and performance.
Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and monitor the timely repair and preventive maintenance of all vehicles to ensure maximum operational availability.
Maintain and regularly update vehicle-wise maintenance schedules, including oil changes, servicing, tire replacement, battery maintenance, and other routine requirements.
Conduct regular physical inspections of vehicles and identify mechanical, electrical, body, tire, and other maintenance issues before they affect operations.
Verify repair requirements, obtain necessary approvals, and closely monitor repair work to ensure that only genuine and required repairs are carried out.
Coordinate with approved workshops, mechanics, and vendors for vehicle repairs and maintenance, ensuring quality work at reasonable and approved costs.
Monitor daily fueling of all vehicles and ensure fuel is issued strictly according to approved vehicle requirements, routes, operational schedules, and fuel limits.
Maintain accurate vehicle-wise fuel records, including fuel quantity, date, vehicle number, mileage/meter reading, and driver details, and regularly reconcile fuel consumption with vehicle operations.
Analyze vehicle-wise fuel consumption and immediately report abnormal, excessive, or unexplained fuel consumption to the management for investigation and corrective action.
Maintain complete records of vehicle repairs, maintenance, spare parts, fuel consumption, workshop expenses, and related documentation, and submit periodic fleet reports to Line Manager / Management.
