Architect – Furniture Workshop
Location: Bahria Town Karachi, Sindh

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Architect to join our furniture workshop located in Bahria Town Karachi. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative furniture designs, preparing precise technical drawings, and collaborating closely with workshop and production teams. This role ensures that all furniture products meet design intent, quality standards, and dimensional accuracy throughout the manufacturing and installation process.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative and functional furniture designs tailored to client requirements and project specifications.
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings, including technical drawings, elevations, sections, and furniture layouts.
- Translate design concepts into practical, production-ready furniture drawings.
- Coordinate effectively with carpenters, craftsmen, production staff, and workshop supervisors to ensure smooth execution.
- Specify detailed dimensions, material types, hardware needs, and construction details for each project.
- Review furniture prototypes and finished products to verify compliance with approved designs.
- Conduct site visits as necessary to take measurements and understand installation conditions.
- Modify designs based on client feedback, technical feasibility, and production constraints.
- Assist in selecting materials such as wood, MDF, plywood, laminates, veneers, fabrics, hardware, and finishing materials.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers regarding materials, samples, and technical specifications.
- Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, durable, and suitable for workshop production capabilities.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, specifications, and project documentation.
- Monitor production progress and resolve design-related issues during manufacturing and installation phases.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and project timelines.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Product Design, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in furniture design, interior design, architectural drafting, or workshop production.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Knowledge of SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, or other 3D design software is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of furniture construction, joinery, materials, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to read, prepare, and interpret technical and production drawings accurately.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in measurements and specifications.
- Effective communication and coordination skills to work collaboratively with workshop and production teams.
- Creative mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Candidates with hands-on experience in custom furniture, wardrobes, kitchens, wooden doors, office furniture, residential furniture, or interior fit-out projects will be preferred.

We offer a competitive salary package based on experience and expertise, ranging from Rs70,000 to Rs100,000 per month.
