Architectural Draftsman - US based

Nopex Services is seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsman / CAD Technician with a minimum of 2–3 years of experience to join our team on a full-time basis. The role is based in Lahore and involves working on US construction projects, with working hours from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate architectural drawings and supporting the design team in delivering high-quality documentation tailored to US building standards. This position requires proficiency in AutoCAD, with Revit skills considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare architectural drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction documents.
- Develop and revise drawings based on markups, sketches, redlines, and instructions from the Senior Architect.
- Assist in preparing architectural permit drawing sets and construction documentation for US projects.
- Convert PDF drawings, sketches, and existing plans into precise CAD drawings.
- Prepare door and window schedules, reflected ceiling plans, dimension plans, and other architectural details as needed.
- Follow project specifications, drawing standards, and applicable US building-code requirements.
- Coordinate drawings with structural and MEP disciplines to identify discrepancies and avoid conflicts.
- Incorporate client comments and complete revisions within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain organized drawing files, including sheet numbering, dimensions, annotations, layers, and title blocks.
- Support the Senior Architect in meeting project deadlines and maintaining quality standards.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional architectural drafting experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of US architectural drawings and construction documentation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Revit proficiency is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
- Understanding of dimensions, scales, annotations, and architectural drawing conventions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
- Ability to work under deadlines, manage revisions, and coordinate effectively with team members.
- Basic to good English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience working on projects for US-based clients.
- Familiarity with US residential and commercial construction projects.
- Experience with permit drawings and construction document packages.
- Knowledge of IBC, IRC, and accessibility requirements relevant to assigned projects.
- Experience with Revit families, sheets, schedules, and basic BIM workflows.
- Ability to work from PDF markups, redlines, sketches, and existing construction drawings.
- Candidates with practical US construction drawing experience and strong technical drafting skills will be given preference.
