Architecture Faculty

University of South Asia (USA) – Cantt Campus, Lahore is seeking qualified and forward-thinking faculty members to join its Department of Architecture as Lecturers and Assistant Professors. The ideal candidates will bring strong architectural knowledge and practical experience to both studio and classroom settings, preparing students to meet the evolving demands of the architectural profession. This is a full-time, onsite position based at the Cantt Campus, with a five-day workweek and a market-competitive salary.

Key Responsibilities
The selected faculty members will be responsible for teaching undergraduate architecture courses and design studios. They will supervise architectural design studios, critiques, juries, and student projects, ensuring high academic standards. Faculty will plan and deliver lectures, studio sessions, assignments, and assessments, guiding students through architectural design, conceptual development, research, technical documentation, and presentation. Incorporating digital tools, AI-assisted workflows, and emerging technologies into the curriculum is expected to enhance learning outcomes. Faculty should encourage students to explore sustainable design, innovative materials, construction practices, and current architectural trends. Responsibilities also include developing course materials, studio briefs, assignments, and learning activities that align with contemporary architectural practices. Mentoring students and providing constructive feedback throughout the design process is essential. Additionally, faculty will contribute to curriculum development, departmental activities, exhibitions, juries, workshops, and other academic duties. Supporting a collaborative studio culture that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and professional growth is a key part of the role.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for Lecturer or Assistant Professor positions in Architecture and possess valid registration with the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP). A relevant academic qualification in Architecture from a recognized institution is mandatory. Applicants should have a strong academic and/or professional background in architecture and architectural design. Experience in university-level teaching and design studios is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of contemporary architectural design, construction methods, sustainability, and digital practices. Proficiency with architectural software, digital tools, AI, and emerging technologies is required. Excellent presentation, communication, mentoring, and student engagement skills are essential. The ability to contribute effectively to design studios and departmental development is expected.
