Area Sales Manager

The Area Sales Manager position is a full-time, on-site role based in Rawalpindi. This role is crucial for driving sales growth and enhancing brand presence within the assigned territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding the distributor and retail network, setting and achieving sales targets, and ensuring the effective execution of sales strategies. The role demands regular market visits, supervision of field sales teams, and close monitoring of sales performance. Gathering market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and consumer trends is also a key part of the daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and expand the distributor and retail network within the assigned territory.
- Set sales targets and develop plans to achieve them consistently.
- Conduct regular market visits to supervise and support field sales teams.
- Monitor sales performance and prepare detailed sales reports.
- Coordinate closely with marketing and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and visibility.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners and key stakeholders.
- Gather and analyze market insights, including competitor activity, pricing strategies, and consumer trends.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and operational procedures.
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed performance goals.
- Maintain a consistent presence in the field, including travel within the territory as required.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in territory management, channel development, and managing relationships with retailers and distributors.
- Demonstrated skills in sales planning, target setting, and performance monitoring, preferably within FMCG or confectionery sectors.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with an ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
- Competency in data analysis and familiarity with basic reporting tools such as Excel, along with sales tracking systems.
- Ability to lead and motivate field sales teams to deliver consistent results.
- Good understanding of the local Rawalpindi market dynamics and consumer behavior.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.
