Position Summary;
- The WordPress developer is responsible for the design, implementation and management websites using WordPress.
- They are responsible for the front-end development and guide website architecture, so sites are attractive and user-friendly.
- The WordPress Developer conducts WordPress training as well as troubleshooting and resolving website problems for clients and co-workers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performing technical analysis, design, and development of new WordPress sites with custom templates
- Manage new cloud hosting implementation and maintenance
- Implementing Cloud flare or other CDN (Content Delivery Network) to ensure websites are working to the highest performance at optimal speeds
- Management of existing WordPress based sites and their functionality and enhancement requests.
- Partner with a digital marketing team to complete projects and tasks
- Meeting with staff to discuss best practices for website design and function
- Creating the website architecture for both desktop and mobile friendly versions of website
- Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration
- Generating and managing WordPress themes and plugins
- Conducting website performance tests
- Troubleshooting content issues
- Conducting WordPress training with staff
- Manage all domains and network of transfers
- Monitoring the performance of the live website
- Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Excellent WordPress technical skills and custom template design
- Strong knowledge of HTML / CSS
- Experience with CPanel, Site ground, FB Pixel, and Google Tag Manager is a plus
- Design experience with Photoshop, Illustrator is a plus
- Must be very organized, punctual, and detail oriented
