Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Farms & Seeds)

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer will report to the Chief Execuative Officer and will support him in achieveing strategic and operational objectives of farms and seeds by overseeing year-round farm operations, including team management, scheduling, planting cycles, cropping plan, crop rotation, soil fertility, nursery,tunnel farming, cattle farm, and greenhouse management, orchard management, land scape development, harvesting, irrigation, pest management and farm machinery & equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Supervise farm operations i.e. land preparation, moisture conservation, sowing, interculture, harvesting etc.
Ensure effective utilization and timely maintenance of Farm Machinery and Equipment.
Modern Irrigation and Drainage management on the farm along with implementation of environmental protection strategies.
Establish and maintain farm landscape and orchards.
Ensure seed certification and food product development in compliance with government regulations, policies, procedures and health/safety standards.
Modern infrastructure development on farm for crops, land preparation, irrigation, use of fertilizers, pest control, grain processing and storage.
Capacity building of different stakeholders for development of agriculture by acquiring and disseminating information related to the agriculture.
Recruit and oversee farm crew including staff, apprentices, volunteers and seasonal workers for the farm.
Make sure that the farm is profitable and meets projected financial targets by optimum utilization of land and other available resources.
Collaboration with scientists, engineers and other stakeholders in terms of analyizing and testing of important parameters like soil, water, grain etc to achieve the plans/projects in order to elevate the outcomes.
Frequent visit to Farms & Seeds project site, field areas etc and monitoring their output accordingly.
Ensure that pesticides and fertilizers are used and applied correctly to control/deminish pest.
Involve in sales, service, training, management, planning, market and product research related to implementing and applying technologies.
Involve in developing sales strategy and play role as assigned.
