Production Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Production Supervisor to oversee the operations of our coating plant and manufacturing facility focused on surgical adhesive products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production processes, quality control, and team leadership. This role involves ensuring the efficient and safe production of surgical adhesive products while adhering to quality standards and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Oversight:

Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities within the coating plant and surgical adhesive manufacturing facility.
Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of orders to meet customer demands.
Collaborate with the production team to optimize production processes and minimize downtime.

Quality Control:

Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality surgical adhesive products.
Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products to maintain product integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory guidelines, regulations and other industry-specific requirements applicable to surgical adhesive manufacturing.
Maintain accurate documentation and records related to production processes, quality control, and compliance.

Team Leadership:

Lead, train, and mentor a team of production operators, technicians, and support staff.
Foster a positive work environment that emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Set performance goals, provide feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements within the production line.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, to implement process enhancements and new technologies.

Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, ensuring adequate supplies for uninterrupted production.
Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels.

Health and Safety:

Enforce strict safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all production personnel.
Conduct regular safety training sessions and address any safety concerns promptly.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (chemical engineering, manufacturing, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as a Production Supervisor in a coating plant or surgical adhesive manufacturing setting.
Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and regulatory compliance within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse production team.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
