Description
- The 3D designer will work with Creative Production and designers on the Creative Team to produce compelling, photo realistic 3D renderings, animation, and photo composites.
- Responsibilities will include designing visual graphic concepts for print, web and social media.
- The 3D designer will report to the Creative Manager.
- Furthermore, the 3D designer should have a good judgment of animation speed and an excellent sense of rhythm. Along with these, the designer needs to be resourceful, innovative, and proactive.
- Ability to work in a team environment and under tight deadlines is prerequisite for a 3D designer job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage workflow to ensure deadlines and metrics are achieved
- Provide character modelers with technical specs for rigging, skinning, shading, and facial expression producing
- Develop specs (character models, rigs, controls, and tools) for efficient character animation
- Support the development of tools that optimize animation production processes
- Perform quality checks for character models
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong work ethic and personal accountability
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Good interpersonal skills
Qualifications:
- A college degree in multimedia design or equivalent.
- Prior experience in multimedia design.
- Excellent knowledge of 3D software applications such as Maya8, Mental Ray, and Adobe Photoshop.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, and After Effects strongly preferred.
