Location:Services will be provided remotely to the UK offices but will be office based in Lahore (DHA Phase IV)

Salary:Competitive (dependent on experience)

Work Hours:Monday to Friday 09:00-17:30 (UK Time)

(1 Hour unpaid lunch)

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and dynamic Finance Manager to join our team. Services will be provided remotely to the UK offices but will be office-based in Lahore (Pakistan). The role will be reporting to the directors and the Finance Manager will work closely with the Managing Director to help drive a high standard and efficient service to clients by the firm. The Main Responsibilities will be to manage the operation of the practice primarily in the area of Finance but the role will overlap with other areas such as Compliance and HR as well as other General Management duties.  

Key Finance Tasks

  • To undertake daily banking functions including bank reconciliations.
  • The processing of client and office accounting transactions including postings and cheque production.
  • The processing of client bills includes checking and posting
  • Input and production of nominal cheque requests.
  • Processing automatic and manual payment runs by BACS/TT and cheque.
  •  The processing of bank transfers.
  • Carrying out the month and year-end procedures.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and liaising with external accountants in relation to year-end accounts and tax returns.
  • Preparing and monitoring budget and cash flow forecasts including variance reports.
  • VAT administration and returns.
  • Processing of travel and other expenses.
  • Money Laundering checks as required.
  • Dealing with inquiries from fee earners and other staff members.
  • Dealing with inquiries and payments from clients.
  • The administration and reconciliation of petty cash.
  • Monthly and yearly Financial Reporting.
  • Administrating Payroll

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in a financial role
  • Suitable financial qualifications such as ACCA accountancy qualification
  • Advances user of Microsoft Excel
  • High level IT skills and general computer skills

Desirable Skills

  • Legal cashiering qualification
  • Knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts rule
  • Experience in using case management software Proclaim and Proclaim Accounts
