Aspire FLP Trainee - Total Rewards

Aga Khan University is seeking a motivated Aspire FLP Trainee to join the Total Rewards team within the Human Resources department at its Karachi campus. This role offers recent graduates an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop core professional skills in compensation, benefits, and total rewards management. The trainee will work closely with the team to understand policies, processes, and systems while contributing to key projects that support the university’s commitment to employee engagement and organizational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Total Rewards function, including team structure, annual cycles, policies, processes, and PeopleSoft systems.
- Assist in reviewing compensation, benefits, allowances, employee rewards, the Optional Benefits framework, and the Employee Rewards Handbook.
- Collect, organize, and analyze Total Rewards data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct research and external benchmarking on Total Rewards practices to support policy reviews and provide informed recommendations.
- Identify and evaluate 3–5 potential vendors for the Reward Plus initiative based on the university’s requirements.
- Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of key Total Rewards initiatives, including the Rewards Roadshow.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors to ensure smooth execution of agreed activities.
- Prepare research summaries, reports, presentations, and other documentation to support Total Rewards projects.
- Participate in Rewards Meet & Greet sessions and selected university visits to build professional networks and gain insights into external market trends.
- Monitor ongoing activities to support the timely completion and implementation of Total Rewards initiatives.
- Undertake both operational and routine responsibilities within the assigned department alongside project-based assignments.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 0-1 years of experience in relevant fields.
- Good understanding of data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other data analysis tools is an advantage.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize information, prepare reports, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and eagerness to learn about compensation, benefits, and Total Rewards practices.
