The Assessment & Evaluation Officer will play a critical role in enhancing the effectiveness of educational programmes within READ Foundation schools. This position involves designing, implementing, and monitoring assessment frameworks to improve student learning outcomes and support data-driven decision-making. The officer will analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate programme impact and identify areas for improvement, working closely with academic and field teams to ensure smooth execution of evaluation activities. The role requires extensive field travel to conduct monitoring and support continuous improvement initiatives across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement comprehensive assessment and evaluation frameworks for various educational programmes and initiatives.
- Develop and refine student assessment systems, including formative, summative, and continuous assessments.
- Plan and conduct data collection through surveys, interviews, focus groups, observations, and quantitative tools.
- Analyze data to identify trends, learning gaps, and programme effectiveness, providing actionable insights.
- Prepare detailed reports with recommendations for management and stakeholders to guide decision-making.
- Monitor programme performance and support ongoing improvement efforts across schools and departments.
- Ensure adherence to assessment standards, ethical guidelines, quality benchmarks, and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with academic, training, and field teams to facilitate the smooth implementation of evaluation activities.
- Assist in developing monitoring tools, dashboards, and reporting systems to enhance data-driven strategies.
- Provide technical guidance and capacity-building support to staff on assessment and evaluation methodologies.
- Maintain the accuracy, confidentiality, and reliability of data and institutional records.
- Support management in policy review, programme evaluation, and strategic planning processes.
- Conduct field visits and monitoring activities as required.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.

Required Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Education, Statistics, Social Sciences, Research, Evaluation, or a related field from an HEC-recognized university.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in assessment, evaluation, research, or educational quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of assessment, evaluation, and research methodologies.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting software such as SPSS, STATA, Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with experience preparing professional reports and presentations.
- Effective coordination, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to travel extensively for field monitoring and evaluation activities (60–70% travel required).
