Assistant Export Manager

Sonex Non-Stick Cookware, based in Gujranwala, Pakistan, is seeking a responsible and results-driven Assistant Export Manager to support its international sales and export operations. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of experience in export documentation, shipment coordination, and international customer management. This role involves managing export orders, generating B2B leads, coordinating shipments, and maintaining strong relationships with global buyers. The position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and a strong understanding of international trade processes. This is a full-time, in-person role offering a competitive salary.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Export Manager in overseeing daily export operations and managing international orders.
- Generate and develop B2B export leads through online platforms, market research, email outreach, LinkedIn, and other channels.
- Identify and approach potential international buyers, distributors, importers, wholesalers, and retailers.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from inquiry, quotation, negotiation, order confirmation, to shipment.
- Coordinate with international customers regarding inquiries, pricing, product details, orders, and shipment updates.
- Oversee export orders from confirmation through production, dispatch, and delivery.
- Prepare and maintain export documentation including Proforma Invoices, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and shipping documents.
- Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and logistics partners to ensure smooth shipment processes.
- Monitor shipment schedules, booking details, estimated time of departure (ETD), estimated time of arrival (ETA), and tracking information.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales, Production, Warehouse, Accounts, and Logistics to ensure timely order execution.
- Prepare quotations, costing sheets, order confirmations, and export-related reports.
- Follow up with customers regarding payments, documentation, shipment updates, and order requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of customers, leads, orders, shipments, payments, and export documentation.
- Address export-related issues including shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, and customer queries.
- Support the Export Manager in building and maintaining long-term international customer relationships.
- Conduct market research to identify new customers, markets, products, and business opportunities.
- Ensure all export processes and documentation are completed accurately and within deadlines.

Required Qualifications

- 2 to 4 years of experience in export operations, international sales, business development, or a related field.
- Proficient in export documentation and shipment coordination.
- Strong knowledge of international trade and shipping processes.
- Experience in B2B export lead generation and international customer acquisition.
- Familiarity with Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Bill of Lading (BL), Telegraphic Transfer (TT), and other export documents.
- Excellent English communication, negotiation, follow-up, and customer relationship management skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, email communication, and export documentation systems.
- Ability to manage multiple leads, customers, orders, and shipments simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve export sales and lead-generation targets.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience using Alibaba.com for buyer communication, lead generation, or international business development is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central or Amazon business operations is an added benefit.
- Background in manufacturing, cookware, home & kitchen, consumer goods, or similar export industries is preferred.
- Educational qualifications include BBA, BSIT, or MBA degrees.
