The role involves overseeing and managing the entire accounts department in alignment with the organization’s policies, legal and fiscal regulations, and international accounting standards. The incumbent will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance, and provide strategic financial oversight to support the hotel’s operational and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the accounting department’s records consistently reflect the fair financial position of the hotel.
- Consolidate departmental budgets to develop the hotel’s annual income, expense, and cash flow budgets.
- Oversee all banking activities, including monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Maintain all necessary departmental documents and manuals.
- Manage all cash handling processes within the hotel.
- Control the hotel’s bank accounts, verify cheques, and review all payable vouchers.
- Supervise salary administration and ensure timely salary payments.
- Liaise with auditors as required and coordinate audit activities.
- Analyze financial documents and prepare key financial figures and reports.
- Conduct physical spot checks of inventory to ensure accuracy.
- Notify the controller about expiring business contracts and coordinate renewals with relevant departments.
- Ensure timely payment of travel agent commissions and communicate effectively with concerned agents.
- Analyze all food and beverage (F&B) costs and related expenses.
- Control and verify all revenue and expense reports.
- Review financial documents prepared by subordinate staff.
- Monitor and control the work of the income auditor and food & beverage controller.
- Supervise accounts payable ledger and oversee the credit manager to ensure effective and timely credit recovery.
- Manage and supervise the cost controller’s activities.
- Handle foreign currency management.
- Maintain the fixed assets register and oversee the depreciation policy.
- Manage key control procedures for the entire property.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the controller.

Required Qualifications:
- Overall professional experience of 8 to 10 years, with 5 to 7 years in a relevant accounting or finance role.
- Academic qualifications including B.Com, BBA (Hons), or MBA in Finance.
- Professional certification such as ACCA is mandatory.
