Assistant IT Manager

This full-time, on-site Assistant IT Manager position is based in Multan, Pakistan, offering a morning shift schedule with a competitive salary range of PKR 30,000 to 45,000. The role is designed for a candidate with approximately three years of experience in IT support or systems administration, complemented by a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth IT operations, supporting end-users, and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical support to users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Manage Windows server environments and network administration tasks, including configuration and maintenance.
- Oversee Microsoft 365 administration, including user account management and troubleshooting.
- Conduct regular data backups and ensure data security protocols are followed to protect organizational information.
- Manage IT asset inventory and lifecycle, ensuring proper documentation and tracking of hardware and software.
- Coordinate with external vendors for procurement, maintenance, and support services.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation related to IT systems, processes, and policies.
- Support business continuity planning by implementing and testing disaster recovery procedures.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Approximately three years of practical experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Proficiency in Windows server management and network administration.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Strong understanding of backup solutions, security best practices, and asset management.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors and manage IT documentation.
