Salary Range: PKR 50,000 - 65,000

Reports to: Branch In-Charge / Project Lead

Job Purpose: To improve the lives of vulnerable communities by providing services under Islamic Micro finance and Qurbani Plus project integrated with other development interventions.

Key Accountabilities:

The job holder is accountable for fulfilling his / her roles and responsibilities in line with Islamic values and principles of fairness, humanity, honesty, respect and fair treatment of his/her colleagues and team members.

Technical:

  • Ensure 100% compliance with existing policy and procedures of Islamic Micro finance Program of the Organization.
  • Effective coordination with livestock department for designing of activities based costing with proper specification and planning of livelihoods activities.
  • Proper planning and execution of livestock activities while consulting all concerns.
  • Progress sharing with line management on regular basis along with developing projects monthly, interim and closed out reports.
  • Support & facilitate project lead in developing criteria, assessment tools for livestock related activities with consultation of MEAL officer.
  • Ongoing monitoring of all interventions & sharing timely feedback with line management/LO.
  • Ensure quarantine of livestock in consultation with Livestock department.
  • Gauge impacts of all interventions and share frequent impact based reports with project lead & share reports with all concerns.
  • Design & plan deworming & vaccination campaigns for livestock with the consultation of livestock department.
  • Endorsement of beneficiaries list from livestock department.
  • Conduction of multiple livestock assessments along with social mobilization team / Livelihood team & ensure inclusion under livestock component.
  • Maintain proper record with pictorial views of livestock related activities both in soft & hard & maintain proper record of activities.
  • Arrange multiple distribution with consultation of Livestock department & District Administration.
  • Identify gaps, avoid overlaps and duplication of grants / project activities.
  • Effective skills of resolving problems especially in the field.
  • Ensure timely completion of all activities while adhering quality aspects.
  • Create and maintain good relation with local community’s line agencies, NGOs and INGOs at field level.
  • Conduct regular field visits with 80% time in field and 20% for reporting.
  • Maintain proper files and record of client, ensure data privacy and prepare periodic reports as guided by senior management.

Organizational:

  • Ensure compliance with the Organization’s policies & procedures in true spirit for effective delivery of services to communities.
  • In depth understanding of the Organization’s values and their demonstration in the field while working with communities.
  • Abide by the the Organization’s zero tolerance policy towards bribery & corruption through sensitization / empowerment of communities on coping mechanism so that they can raise voice as & when feel inappropriate.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Organization’s strategic priorities to ensure effective implementation with future sustainability.
  • Assist in identification & documentation of organizational successes for show casing the Organization’s work.
  • Facilitate communities in adaptation of environment friendly & cost effective approaches to meet their current as well as future needs with specific attention to climate change.
  • Focused efforts to be made for mainstreaming of marginalized groups i.e. Persons with disability and old age, minorities, Women & children etc in consultation & implementation of project activities at ground.
  • Strengthen mechanism to Influence the decision makers through communities to pay attention towards DRR planning, give voice to suffering and the excluded, highlighting the protection needs of people.
  • Participation and facilitation in implementation of the Organization’s seasonal programmes.

Person Specification: It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the organizational values & principles, vision and mission as well as commitment to its SEAH (sexual exploitation abuse and harassment) protocols. We have zero tolerance policy towards SEAH and doesn’t support any action that promote or encourage SEAH.

Qualification: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in livestock related project with NGOs/INGOs having good working knowledge of governmental and financial regulations and laws.

Language: Urdu, English and local languages

  • Has a learning attitude and a continuous improvement philosophy.
  • Strong understanding of the humanitarian operating context, including Sphere, the humanitarian system, donors, security, civil military liaison and program management.
  • He must have experience of working for a Humanitarian Organization specifically in the context of KP.
