Assistant Manager – Internal Audit (Manufacturing)

We are urgently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Internal Audit to join our manufacturing company located near Central Park, Lahore. The successful candidate will have a strong background in internal auditing within a manufacturing environment, with specific expertise in boiler and steam production operations. This role requires a proactive professional capable of evaluating internal controls, risk management, and compliance across various departments including production, maintenance, procurement, inventory, and finance.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct internal audit assignments covering manufacturing, production, maintenance, procurement, inventory, and finance functions.
- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and adherence to company policies.
- Perform operational audits focused on boiler systems, utilities, and steam generation to identify control gaps and suggest improvements.
- Review production workflows, energy usage, maintenance procedures, and operational efficiencies.
- Prepare detailed audit reports, document findings, and recommend corrective measures.
- Monitor audit observations and ensure timely implementation of corrective action plans.
- Assist in the development of annual audit plans and conduct risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline. Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, CA, CMA, or CISA are advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of internal audit experience within a manufacturing company.
- Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with boiler operations, steam production systems, utilities, and related manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management frameworks, and audit methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills, report writing capabilities, and effective communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
