Assistant Manager Airside

This role involves taking full responsibility for the shift by ensuring accurate headcount and receiving a detailed handover from the outgoing Assistant Manager. The candidate will manage task allocation among personnel and oversee the deployment of Ground Handling Equipment (GHE) during their shift. Maintaining discipline and monitoring working locations through coordination with the Airside Executive is essential. The position requires close collaboration with the Flight Coordinator, Engineering team, and Airport Security Force (ASF) to ensure timely flight dispatch. Monitoring flight departure delays and implementing corrective actions in consultation with the Manager Airside is a key part of the role. The incumbent will also oversee thorough cleaning of aircraft during turnaround, including scheduled internal and external deep cleaning. Ensuring safe operations by personnel and GHE, arranging aircraft parking in coordination with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), and addressing administrative needs of the shift team are critical responsibilities. Additionally, the role involves raising Airside Discrepancy Reports (ADR) before shift end and providing feedback on Flight Safety Reports (FSR) and Hazard Reports to the Manager Airside. The candidate may also be assigned additional duties by the Manager Airside Services (MAS) or General Manager Airside Services (GMAS).

Key Responsibilities

- Assume charge of the shift with accurate headcount and thorough debrief from the outgoing Assistant Manager.
- Allocate tasks to personnel and deploy available Ground Handling Equipment effectively.
- Monitor working locations and maintain discipline among personnel and equipment through the Airside Executive.
- Coordinate closely with Flight Coordinator, Engineering, and ASF to ensure timely flight dispatch.
- Track flight departure delays and implement remedial measures in consultation with Manager Airside.
- Supervise proper cleaning of aircraft during turnaround, including planned internal and external deep cleaning.
- Ensure safe operations of aircraft by personnel and deployed GHE.
- Arrange aircraft parking promptly in coordination with the Civil Aviation Authority.
- Monitor and fulfill administrative requirements of personnel during the shift.
- Raise Airside Discrepancy Reports (ADR) to Manager Airside before shift completion.
- Provide feedback on Flight Safety Reports (FSR), Hazard Reports, and other relevant matters to Manager Airside.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by MAS or GMAS.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of management experience, preferably as a Team Leader, Assistant Manager, or Senior Supervisor in Ramp Operations within the aviation industry or a Ground Handling Agency.
- Proficient communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Competent in MS Office applications.
- Age requirement: Minimum 35 years and maximum 40 years.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Diploma or Associate Engineering qualification will be considered an advantage.
- Experience in a similar role within airside operations is highly valued.
