Assistant Manager Configuration Management CS Core

This role involves the operation and maintenance of nationwide core network entities, focusing primarily on configuration management and ensuring seamless end-to-end service delivery across various network nodes. The position requires in-depth expertise in core network configurations and troubleshooting for multiple systems including MSCs, IMS, MGWs, HSS, LSMS, STPs, DRAs, cloudified nodes, and IP-based services. The candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining network performance, availability, and fault resolution to support uninterrupted telecommunication services.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure core network availability at a target of 99.999%.
- Implement preventive and corrective measures to maintain network availability and service quality, including preparation, verification, and execution of configuration scripts following established processes.
- Conduct routine system and service health checks to sustain optimal system performance.
- Perform advanced database-related tasks such as software and hardware configurations, routing plan management, and signaling data handling.
- Resolve customer complaints within defined turnaround times, ensuring all network services remain fault-free.
- Prepare and execute emergency response plans to address network incidents.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical issues and fulfill other operational requirements.
- Monitor assigned core network KPIs and perform detailed analysis independently when necessary.
- Troubleshoot and analyze reported issues, collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to implement improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of core network spare parts inventory, asset tagging, and related documentation.
- Undertake special network monitoring and troubleshooting assignments as required.
- Participate in on-site and on-call activities to support network operations during critical situations.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Telecom, Computer Science) or a related field.
- Preferably 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in core network operations, deployment, and optimization.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating responsibility and meeting deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach as a team player.

Job-Specific Skills

- Expert knowledge of core mobile telephony systems including MSC/MGW, STP/DRA, HSS, IMS, and EIR.
- Proficiency in signaling protocols, standards, and associated signaling flows.
- Deep understanding of signaling and routing mechanisms across all network layers.
- Practical experience with hardware and software components of core network platforms.
- Familiarity with standard processes and procedures involved in core network operations.
