The Assistant Manager Costing will play a crucial role in analyzing and controlling production costs, supporting management in pricing, profitability analysis, budgeting, and operational decision-making in a complex apparel manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze production costs including raw materials, labor, manufacturing overheads, utilities, and other operational expenses.
- Perform cost variance analysis and prepare detailed cost reports to assist management in decision-making.
- Evaluate product costs and contribute to cost control initiatives to improve profitability.
- Collaborate closely with finance, production, procurement, planning, and merchandising departments to ensure accurate costing information.
- Monitor budgeting-related costing data and support financial reporting activities.
- Identify discrepancies between expected and actual costs and investigate underlying causes.
- Utilize accounting systems and advanced Excel skills to handle and analyze financial and operational data effectively.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com Hons.) or Master’s in Commerce (M.Com) with a strong foundation in financial accounting, cost accounting, management accounting, auditing, and financial management.
- 4 to 6 years of relevant professional experience in cost accounting, manufacturing finance, cost analysis, financial reporting, variance analysis, and budgeting.
- Practical experience in the textile, apparel, manufacturing, or related industries is highly desirable to understand production-oriented costing environments.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools is essential.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills to explain costing information clearly to both finance and non-finance teams.
