Assistant Manager - Data Center.MGN Pak - TECH - Infrastructure.MIT - PAKCOE

We are seeking a skilled professional with experience in datacenter operations and application deployment to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting job schedulers and managed file transfer tools, ensuring smooth and efficient business-as-usual (BAU) activities. This role involves automating datacenter operations, enforcing controls, and maintaining high availability of critical applications across primary and secondary sites. The candidate will also support business continuity testing and collaborate with multiple internal teams and vendors to maintain uninterrupted services.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and support Job Scheduler administration along with BAU activities to ensure timely and accurate job executions.
- Oversee Managed File Transfer (MFT) tools administration, ensuring secure and reliable file transfers across various applications.
- Understand file transfer requirements, implement optimal solutions, conduct thorough testing, and enforce necessary controls to maintain data integrity.
- Automate datacenter operations with a focus on exception handling and controlled rerun capabilities to minimize risks and operational impacts.
- Ensure adherence to pre- and post-validation processes during production deployments and support activities.
- Enforce high availability functionality for supporting applications at both primary and secondary sites to guarantee uninterrupted services.
- Support business continuity testing initiatives across the organization to validate disaster recovery and failover procedures.
- Track and manage datacenter operations service tickets, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
- Monitor application batch processes according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), escalating and documenting issues as required.
- Escalate and record system, application, and batch problems, coordinating with various internal teams to resolve operational challenges.
- Monitor alerts from enterprise monitoring systems and respond promptly to potential issues.
- Liaise with infrastructure owners, application owners, and vendors to provide 24x7 support on a rotational shift basis.
- Deploy approved changes across infrastructure platforms following change management protocols.
- Report production issues promptly, including impact analysis, and take necessary corrective actions.
- Ensure all incidents are escalated, recorded, tracked, and closed in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in datacenter operations and application deployment.
- Strong knowledge of job schedulers and managed file transfer tools administration.
- Experience in automation of operational tasks with robust exception handling and rerun controls.
- Familiarity with high availability configurations and business continuity processes.
- Ability to monitor and manage batch processing and enterprise monitoring alerts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and vendors.
- Willingness to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
