We are seeking a Senior Company Accountant/Assistant Finance Manager who possesses strong analytical abilities and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial reports and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting the company’s financial health and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete bookkeeping process, including year-end adjustments, and oversee receivables and payables management.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns within required deadlines.
- Provide valuable input for financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to identify business trends.
- Prepare and file annual accounts and annual returns with Companies House.
- Administer monthly payroll processing and submissions.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and enhance internal controls.
- Perform month-end closing activities and handle any additional tasks assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- ACCA/ACMA/CA finalist or a master’s degree in accounting or a related field is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks is highly desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is an advantage.
- Candidates who have completed their articles with a reputable firm will be preferred.
