The HR Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the HR Manager with daily human resource operations and the implementation of HR policies. This position ensures effective coordination across various HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. Acting as a liaison between management and employees, the HR Assistant Manager helps foster a positive and productive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Staffing:
Assist in manpower planning and support recruitment activities such as job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding processes. Maintain accurate recruitment records and candidate databases to streamline hiring efforts.
Employee Relations:
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies and procedures. Support grievance resolution and disciplinary actions while promoting employee engagement initiatives to maintain workplace harmony.
HR Operations:
Manage employee records, HR files, and update HRIS data regularly. Assist with attendance tracking, leave management, and payroll coordination to ensure smooth HR operations. Maintain precise documentation and reporting standards.
Performance Management & Training:
Support the performance appraisal process by coordinating schedules and documentation. Assist in identifying training needs and organizing relevant training programs. Keep track of training records and employee development plans to encourage continuous growth.
Compliance & Policies:
Help implement HR policies and ensure adherence to labor laws and company regulations. Support HR audits and maintain statutory documentation to guarantee compliance.
Reporting:
Prepare HR reports, management information system (MIS) updates, and presentations for senior management. Analyze HR data to provide insights that aid in strategic decision-making.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is essential. Candidates should have 3 to 6 years of experience in HR operations or generalist roles, demonstrating a solid understanding of HR functions.
Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of HR practices and labor laws is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective employee interaction and team coordination. Candidates must possess strong organizational and time-management abilities, along with proficiency in MS Office and HR software systems.
