 Programme Work and Deliverables:

  1. Work closely with the senior management team and relevant programme staff to design and implement. organization's Humanitarian and Emergency Relief Program.
  2. Ensure that key deliverables are timely planned and executed as per the agreed work plans and project implementation plans.

Networking and Engagement:

  1. Develop a strong relationship with like-minded organizations, donors, government bodies and other key external stakeholders.
  2. Ensure that all key external stakeholders knowns about organization and all its related projects, achievements etc.
  3. Develop and maintain processes to ensure high value liaison effort with Government Authorities, the donor, humanitarian community etc on matters related to the project and office management.

Proposal Writing and Fund Raising:

  1. Responsible for identifying funding opportunities in line with organization's Vision and Mission, program priorities, writing successful grant proposals in coordination with program colleagues in addition to strengthening our linkages with donors.
  2. Develop resource mobilization plans to operationalize the resource mobilisation strategy of organization.
  3. Ensure development of regular reports and analysis of the implementation plans, mapping between program priorities and donor opportunities, funding analysis, etc to be used by management for tracking progress against the targets, review and decision making.
  4. Produce and regularly update a comprehensive mapping of all donor opportunities.
  5. Lead on developing and packaging grant proposals to suit the requirements of different donors, including working with the programme communications team to develop separate marketing collateral aimed at different audiences (Institutional donors, Corporate etc.).
  6. Ensuring successful on-going donor relationship management and ‘ownership’ of relations with donor representatives locally.

Team Management:

  1. Ensure that team has clearly defined key performance indicators with regular progress and reporting.
  2. Ensure regular team meetings to address any challenges and encourage team members to give ideas for improvements.
  3. Overall management of the program and support function including Finance, Admin, Procurement, Security, HR and communication functions in the regional office.
  4. Manage and lead the projects team, develop their knowledge and skills of appropriate nature to the projects; guide and motivate.

Position Requirement:

  1. The incumbent must have a master’s degree in relevant discipline, social sciences, or development studies.
  2. Minimum relevant 7 years’ experience of work in humanitarian area with well-known national or international NGO.
  3. Minimum relevant 8 years’ experience with bachelor’s degree
  4. Previous demonstrated experience of generating funds and working relations with all key external donors.
