Assistant Manager IT

As an Assistant Manager – ICT Operations, you will play a crucial role in supporting daily IT and ICT operations across multiple offices and regional locations. Your efforts will ensure a secure, reliable, and efficient technology infrastructure that enables smooth business operations. Collaborating closely with Finance, HR, Operations, and other teams, you will provide technical support, manage IT assets, maintain cybersecurity, and contribute to various IT projects and deployments.

Key Responsibilities

- Support day-to-day IT/ICT operations and service delivery across offices and regional sites.
- Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VLANs, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and internet connectivity.
- Administer Windows and Mac environments, Google Workspace, Office 365, and cPanel, handling user accounts, groups, access permissions, and security settings.
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support, ensuring timely resolution of user issues while adhering to service level agreements.
- Manage IT hardware, software, licenses, assets, and inventory, including procurement and replacement processes.
- Facilitate user onboarding, offboarding, account provisioning, access management, and IT orientation.
- Coordinate with IT vendors, ISPs, software/service providers, and external technical partners for service delivery and issue resolution.
- Support and maintain CCTV/NVR systems, access control, meeting room technology, and video conferencing facilities.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity controls, endpoint security, access controls, backups, and data protection practices.
- Assist with IT projects, infrastructure upgrades, office setups, and technology deployments.
- Maintain accurate IT documentation, including SOPs, network diagrams, asset records, and technical manuals.
- Support business continuity by ensuring availability of critical IT services across locations.
- Assist in coordinating and monitoring the performance of the ICT team and support resources.
- Provide regular updates on IT operations, issues, risks, and recommendations to IT management and senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant IT experience, preferably in IT operations, infrastructure management, and multi-site IT support.
- Hands-on experience with network infrastructure and technical troubleshooting.
- Proficient knowledge of Google Workspace, Fortinet, SD-WAN, LAN/WAN, VLANs, Wi-Fi, VPNs, Windows, Mac, and cloud services.
- Experience managing IT hardware, software, licenses, assets, vendors, and service providers.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, access management, endpoint security, backups, and IT best practices.
- Experience supporting branch or site IT operations and users across multiple locations.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills

- Experience with ERP systems, IT service management tools, PBX/VoIP, UPS/solar systems, and managing multi-site IT operations is advantageous.
- The ideal candidate is technically strong, hands-on, and service-oriented, capable of troubleshooting infrastructure issues and ensuring reliable IT services.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, documentation, coordination, and ownership skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently and make practical technical decisions is highly valued.
