Assistant Manager - Network Engineering.MGN Pak - Infrastructure Operations.MIT - PAKCOE

The Senior Network Engineer will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining the network infrastructure for Mashreq Pakistan Digital Retail Bank (DRB) and Mashreq Global Network (MGN) Pakistan operations. Based onsite in Karachi, this position acts as the primary local network engineering resource, ensuring seamless connectivity and support for office users, branch locations, data centers, remote workforce services, and essential banking infrastructure. The role demands close collaboration with the Group Network Team and regional technology units to deliver reliable and secure network services.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide Level-2 operational support for network infrastructure, including incident troubleshooting and resolution to minimize downtime.
- Manage and maintain connectivity for office users, branches, data centers, and remote workforce environments.
- Implement network changes and upgrades in coordination with regional and group teams, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Participate in project delivery related to network enhancements, expansions, and technology upgrades.
- Coordinate with vendors for procurement, support, and issue resolution related to network hardware and software.
- Oversee network lifecycle management, including monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Maintain hands-on expertise in routing, switching, WAN, SD-WAN, cloud connectivity, security, and data center networking technologies.
- Ensure network services are secure, resilient, and highly available to support critical banking operations.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in network engineering, particularly in enterprise or banking environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of routing and switching protocols, WAN and SD-WAN technologies.
- Experience with cloud connectivity solutions and security implementations within network infrastructure.
- Hands-on expertise in data center networking, including configuration and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with technical teams and stakeholders.
