We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Assistant Manager for Production Planning and Control (PPC). This role focuses on overseeing and optimizing production planning processes to ensure smooth manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate possesses at least three years of experience and holds expertise in production planning, process controlling, and developing standardized forms and formats. Prior exposure to metal sheet and pipe cutting, bending, or injection molding will be highly beneficial. Though this role does not include team management responsibilities, the candidate will collaborate closely with various departments to align production schedules and resource availability with company goals. The Assistant Manager PPC plays a critical role in monitoring and controlling production activities to maintain high-quality standards and operational efficiency. This position ensures that production timelines are met and resources are allocated effectively. The successful candidate applies analytical skills to resolve production bottlenecks and continuously improves manufacturing workflows. Working within a dynamic environment, the Assistant Manager will help optimize processes, oversee documentation related to production, and support the seamless flow of materials. Close coordination with procurement, quality assurance, and shop floor personnel forms the backbone of this responsibility to uphold standard of excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement detailed production plans to meet manufacturing targets and deadlines.
- Monitor the production process to ensure adherence to quality and efficiency standards.
- Control and optimize production workflows, identifying areas for improvement in terms of cost, time, and quality.
- Create and maintain standardized forms and formats to streamline production documentation and reporting.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, predict potential issues, and support decision-making processes.
- Assist in managing production resources by scheduling machines and labor effectively to maximize productivity.
- Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality control, and warehouse staff.
- Support implementation of best practices in manufacturing processes such as metal sheet and pipe cutting, bending, or injection molding as applicable.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations within the production area.
- Generate and present regular production reports to senior management highlighting key performance indicators and production challenges.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process enhancements and technology upgrades.
- Troubleshoot production problems and collaborate with technical experts to resolve operational issues promptly.
