Key Responsibilities
- Implement procurement processes effectively, ensuring full adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
- Assess and evaluate products, services, and vendors before finalizing contracts to guarantee quality and appropriateness.
- Review and compare vendor quotations, preparing detailed comparative analyses to assist in informed decision-making.
- Crosscheck purchase orders against vendor prices for all general items to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain comprehensive records and databases of work orders, purchase orders, contracts, and all relevant procurement documentation.
- Conduct fieldwork and market visits as necessary to support procurement activities and vendor assessments.
- Establish and maintain a consistent, compliant order filing system across all offices to track, report, and record procurement, stock, asset, and fleet activities.
- Keep an up-to-date database of potential suppliers, ensuring all documentary records are securely stored and easily accessible.
- Develop and oversee an efficient contract management strategy aimed at mitigating procurement risks.
- Perform any other program-related tasks assigned by the supervisor to support overall organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- 5 to 6 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably within the development sector.
- Proven experience working with international or national organizations and government agencies.
