This position reports directly to the Chief Rental Estate Manager (REM) and is responsible for overseeing all activities related to rental estate management. The role involves maintaining detailed records of rental properties, preparing tenancy agreements, managing rent collection, handling management fees and utilities billing, and managing correspondence with rental parties. The incumbent will also oversee tax matters for the REM branch, prepare audit replies for submission, and ensure the secure custody of all original rent, tax, and audit documentation. Supervisory responsibilities include managing the property assistant and safeguarding original property records, title documents, and tenancy agreements. Additionally, the role requires preparing the annual budget for the REM branch in collaboration with the Finance Department, liaising with civic agencies on REM issues, and ensuring compliance with all relevant rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. The position also involves processing invoices related to rent and sales tax and performing any other duties assigned by the Chief REM.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all Rental Estate Management activities and report directly to the Chief REM.
- Maintain and compile comprehensive records of all rental properties.
- Prepare tenancy agreements and manage rent collection, management fees, and utilities billing.
- Handle correspondence with rental parties and resolve related issues efficiently.
- Manage tax-related matters specific to the REM branch.
- Prepare audit replies and submit them to the Chief REM; maintain audit reports and related correspondence.
- Ensure the safe custody of all original rent, tax, audit files, property records, title documents, and tenancy agreements.
- Supervise the property assistant to ensure proper handling and safekeeping of documents.
- Prepare the annual budget for the REM branch in coordination with the Finance Department and submit it for review.
- Liaise with civic agencies to resolve REM-related matters and maintain effective communication.
- Ensure strict compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Process all invoices related to rent and sales tax accurately and timely.
- Undertake any additional duties as assigned by the Chief REM.

Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in rental estate management or a closely related field.
- Strong knowledge of tenancy agreements, rent collection processes, and property management practices.
- Familiarity with tax issues and audit procedures related to rental properties.
- Ability to prepare budgets and collaborate effectively with finance departments.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail in record-keeping and document management.
- Supervisory experience with the ability to oversee support staff effectively.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with rental parties and civic agencies.
- Commitment to ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements.
