We are seeking a diligent and proactive professional to manage and monitor the company’s outstanding receivables and recovery portfolio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective recovery strategies to ensure timely collection of payments, maintaining strong interdepartmental coordination, and fostering professional client relationships. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality. The position is based on-site and offers a competitive monthly salary starting from Rs 120,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the company’s outstanding receivables and recovery portfolio to ensure timely collections.
- Develop and implement effective recovery strategies tailored to different customer accounts.
- Regularly review accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and prioritize follow-ups.
- Conduct follow-ups with clients through calls, emails, meetings, and official correspondence to recover outstanding amounts.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, and other relevant departments regarding pending payments and client-related issues.
- Maintain detailed records of all recovery follow-ups, payment commitments, disputes, and payment statuses.
- Prepare and present regular recovery reports, providing management with updates on outstanding receivables.
- Monitor customer payment commitments and ensure persistent follow-up until full settlement is achieved.
- Identify long-outstanding and high-risk receivables and escalate these cases to management when necessary.
- Work with the Finance team to reconcile customer accounts and resolve any payment discrepancies.
- Review client disputes, deductions, and billing issues, collaborating with relevant departments to reach timely resolutions.
- Assist in developing customer-specific recovery plans for overdue and high-value accounts.
- Maintain professional and firm relationships with clients to facilitate timely recovery while upholding company reputation.
- Support Finance in improving Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and overall collection performance.
- Ensure proper documentation of all recovery-related communications and commitments for audit and reference purposes.
- Coordinate with Legal and Compliance teams when recovery matters require further action.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial and client information handled.
- Perform any additional recovery or finance-related duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounts receivable management, credit control, or debt recovery.
- Strong understanding of financial processes related to receivables and collections.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to analyze aging reports and identify priority accounts for recovery.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and preparing detailed reports.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and escalate issues appropriately.
