We are looking for an experienced Sales Representative to join our growing team. The primary focus of this role is to promote and drive the adoption of the Press’s curriculum textbooks across schools, colleges, and higher education institutions. The successful candidate will actively engage in fieldwork, visiting prospective, current, and former customers to build and maintain strong relationships. This role requires developing a solid network of contacts within the assigned territory to effectively increase sales. The Sales Representative will be responsible for managing all aspects of the sales process while upholding the Press’s policies, standards, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales of the Press’s curriculum textbooks in schools, colleges, and higher education institutes within the designated territory.
- Conduct regular field visits to prospective, existing, and past customers to establish and nurture long-term relationships.
- Develop and maintain a robust network of contacts to support sales growth and market penetration.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from identifying opportunities to closing deals and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Adhere strictly to the Press’s policies, standards, and ethical guidelines while representing the organization.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align sales strategies with organizational goals and customer needs.
- Provide timely and accurate sales reports and market feedback to management.
Required Qualifications
- A strong academic background in school education complemented by a relevant master’s degree.
- 4 to 5 years of proven sales experience, preferably in educational products or related sectors.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Impeccable command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate within a team environment.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A valid driving license and willingness to travel as required by business needs.
