Assistant Manager - Supply Chain

Habib Sugar Mills Limited is seeking a skilled professional to join our Supply Chain team, specializing in the technical procurement of industrial machinery, mechanical equipment, engineering spares, and plant maintenance materials. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of essential equipment and parts that support our sugar manufacturing operations, particularly in sugarcane preparation and crushing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement process for industrial machinery, mechanical components, engineering spares, and maintenance-related materials.
- Source equipment and spare parts specifically used in sugar manufacturing, focusing on sugarcane preparation and crushing operations.
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers of critical items such as crushing mill rollers, cane knives, shredders, bearings, gearboxes, motors, pumps, valves, and other industrial equipment.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and maintenance teams to review technical specifications, drawings, and material requisitions.
- Obtain and assess quotations based on technical suitability, quality, price, and delivery schedules.
- Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers, fostering strong partnerships with both local and international vendors.
- Monitor purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure the availability of critical spare parts to support uninterrupted plant operations.
- Ensure strict compliance with company procurement policies and maintain accurate purchasing documentation.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in the technical procurement of industrial machinery, engineering spares, or mechanical equipment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical equipment, technical specifications, and industrial spare parts.
- Demonstrated expertise in supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, commercial negotiation, and purchase order management.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, coordination, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.

- Experience in the sugar industry or heavy manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
- Competitive monthly salary starting from Rs90,000.00.
