Assistant Manager Tax (Direct & Indirect Taxation) – Lahore, Pakistan

emltc Pakistan, a multinational law firm, is looking for a highly skilled Tax Specialist with comprehensive expertise in both direct and indirect taxation laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background and be well-versed in Pakistani tax regulations, ensuring compliance and providing valuable insights on tax matters within a multinational context.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, including Income Tax, Sales Tax, and Federal Excise duties, in accordance with Pakistani tax laws.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate tax filings and reporting.
- Analyze tax implications of business transactions and provide strategic advice to minimize tax liabilities.
- Support audits and liaise with tax authorities to resolve any issues or disputes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax legislation and advise management on potential impacts.
- Collaborate with multinational teams to ensure compliance with international tax requirements and transfer pricing regulations.

Required Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of Pakistani tax laws, including Income Tax, Sales Tax, and Federal Excise.
- Proven experience in handling tax compliance for multinational organizations.
- Strong accounting foundation, preferably with CA articles completed from a reputable Chartered Accountants firm.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and financial data.
- Effective communication skills to clearly convey tax-related information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
