The role involves overseeing the receipt, storage, handling, and documentation of raw and packaging materials within a warehouse setting. The incumbent will ensure all activities comply with quality, safety, and regulatory standards while supporting smooth and efficient warehouse operations. This position requires close coordination with various departments to maintain accurate records and facilitate timely material movement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all activities related to receiving, storing, and handling raw and packaging materials.
- Monitor received quantities and ensure all documentation and labeling comply with relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for material acceptance.
- Ensure hazardous materials are properly labeled with appropriate hazard warnings.
- Coordinate and manage material loans and returns, ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
- Prepare daily Material Receipt Reports (MRRs) for raw and packaging materials.
- Post all released MRRs into the system and follow up on the physical transfer of materials from quarantine or released areas.
- Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) through system or manual processes.
- Generate Materials Transfer Notes (MTNs) and Materials/Store Delivery Vouchers (MDVs, SDVs, and security gate passes).
- Liaise with purchasing, imports, and planning teams to obtain necessary documentation for incoming raw and packaging materials.
- Maintain warehouse temperature records and review/update Good Practice (GXP) data related to warehousing functions.
- Manage and supervise scheduled and special audits within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Production Planning, and Production departments to ensure seamless warehousing operations.
- Serve as Sectional Training, SOP, and CAPA Coordinator; author and review SOPs related to the materials receiving function and ensure compliance.
- Ensure all subordinate staff maintain proper records in line with record retention policies and documentation practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Pharm-D degree is required.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar supervisory role within warehouse or materials management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA with a focus on Supply Chain Management is preferred.
