The role focuses on supporting warranty operations by efficiently processing warranty claims, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring adherence to company and principal policies. This role plays a critical part in managing warranty costs, identifying recurring product concerns, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Process warranty claims submitted by dealers and company outlets within established timelines.
- Review claims and accompanying documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to verify claims, seek clarifications, and obtain necessary approvals.
- Assist in resolving high-value, disputed, and complex warranty cases.
- Support warranty audits conducted at dealerships and company outlets.
- Prepare warranty reimbursement documentation and ensure timely submission to principals.
- Monitor warranty costs, analyze claim trends, and identify recurring product issues, escalating concerns to appropriate teams.
- Coordinate with Quality, Finance, Internal Audit Department (IAD), Customer Interaction Center (CIC), dealers, vendors, and principals to address warranty-related matters.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of failed warranty parts in compliance with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate warranty records, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Contribute to warranty reporting and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize claim processing and improve customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in automotive warranty operations, after-sales service, or warranty claim management.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Working knowledge of automotive warranty policies and claim processing procedures.
- Basic understanding of vehicle systems, product quality issues, and warranty cost management.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills coupled with effective coordination and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and experience with ERP or Dealer Management Systems (DMS) used for warranty administration.
