The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) is seeking to fill 15 vacancies for the position of Assistant Private Secretary (APS) on deputation basis. These positions are available at the Islamabad regional office as well as various sub-offices across Pakistan. The role is open to candidates from all genders, aged between 18 and 55 years, with any educational qualification accepted. Applicants must have a minimum of three years of relevant experience. The pay scale for this position is BPS-16, and appointments will be made through deputation from regular public or civil servants working in federal, provincial government organizations, or autonomous bodies at the same scale.
Key Responsibilities
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in shorthand and typing, with a minimum speed of 100 words per minute in shorthand and 50 words per minute in typing. Computer literacy is essential, along with a strong command of office noting and drafting skills. Experience within the education sector or Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector will be considered an advantage. The role involves managing secretarial and administrative tasks efficiently to support senior officials.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must hold at least a Second Class or Grade C Bachelor’s degree from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). A minimum of three years of relevant work experience is required. Candidates should be currently employed as regular public or civil servants in federal or provincial government organizations or autonomous bodies at the same pay scale. Contract, project-based, or tenure track employees are not eligible to apply.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the education or TVET sectors. The selected candidates will be required to submit a departmental No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview. Successful applicants will be posted anywhere in Pakistan but must join at NAVTTC headquarters in Islamabad. NAVTTC reserves the right to modify the number of vacancies or cancel the recruitment process at any stage without providing reasons. No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for attending the interview.
