Northern University Nowshera invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics. Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics courses at BS and MS/MPhil levels, ensuring content aligns with HEC guidelines.
- Develop, review, and update course outlines, lesson plans, and assessment tools to maintain academic rigor.
- Supervise student research projects and theses, providing guidance and mentorship throughout their academic journey.
- Conduct original research and publish findings in HEC-recognized journals to contribute to the academic community.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, academic planning, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Assist with examinations, grading, and maintaining accurate academic records.
- Mentor students and junior faculty members to promote professional growth and academic excellence.
Required Qualifications
- A PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related discipline recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
- Post-PhD teaching and research experience is preferred. Candidates with a strong record of publications in reputable journals are highly encouraged to apply.
Skills and Competencies
- Expertise in core areas of Mathematics such as analysis, algebra, differential equations, or numerical methods.
- Demonstrated research orientation with a consistent publication record.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues.
