Assistant Warehouse Incharge - Islamabad

We are looking for a dependable and organized Assistant Warehouse Incharge based in Islamabad to support the smooth running of daily warehouse operations. This role involves assisting in the management of incoming and outgoing goods, supervising warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Assistant Warehouse Incharge will also coordinate closely with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to optimize warehouse efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Warehouse Incharge in planning and managing daily warehouse activities such as receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Supervise warehouse staff by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing on-the-job coaching and training.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of receipts, issues, and transfers in the inventory system (ERP/WMS), and conduct regular stock reconciliations.
- Implement and maintain inventory control processes including FIFO/LIFO methods and cycle counts to reduce discrepancies and shrinkage.
- Inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality, resolving any discrepancies with vendors or procurement teams.
- Maintain an organized warehouse layout and storage system to maximize space utilization and workflow efficiency.
- Enforce health, safety, and security procedures in compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Coordinate with transport providers to schedule pickups and deliveries, managing all related shipping documentation.
- Prepare and maintain operational reports such as stock levels, dispatch reports, and daily activity logs.
- Support process improvements, cost control initiatives, and monitor performance metrics (KPIs).
- Address customer or internal queries related to order status, returns, and stock availability.

Required Qualifications

- Intermediate education or higher; diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in warehouse operations or a supervisory role, with preference given to candidates who have worked as a warehouse incharge or assistant in a similar industry.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems (ERP/WMS) and strong computer skills, including MS Excel.
- Knowledge of inventory control methods such as FIFO/LIFO, basic stock accounting, and warehouse safety standards.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents, invoices, and basic operational reports.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication skills in Urdu; English proficiency is an advantage.
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and willingness to work shifts or extended hours as needed.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to supervise and motivate a team.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Candidates with a bachelor’s degree will be preferred. The position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs60,000 to Rs80,000.
