The Associate/Assistant Professor position in Computer Science involves teaching undergraduate and potentially postgraduate courses. The role requires preparing and delivering lectures, labs, and seminars across core and specialized areas of Computer Science. Responsibilities include curriculum design and updates, supervising student projects and theses, assessing academic performance, and providing mentoring and advising to students. The faculty member is also expected to actively engage in research, publish scholarly work in reputable journals and conferences, and participate in departmental and university committees. Collaboration with colleagues to develop new academic programs, strengthen industry partnerships, and support community outreach initiatives is an integral part of this full-time, on-site role based at the IIUI Islamabad campus.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate Computer Science courses through lectures, labs, and seminars.
- Design, review, and update curricula to ensure alignment with current academic standards and industry trends.
- Supervise student projects, theses, and research activities.
- Assess and evaluate student performance fairly and consistently.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to support student development.
- Conduct research and publish findings in recognized journals and conferences.
- Participate actively in departmental and university committees.
- Collaborate with faculty members to develop new academic initiatives and foster industry linkages.
- Engage in community outreach and contribute to the university’s mission of societal impact.

Required Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, capable of teaching both theoretical and practical courses.
- Expertise in Programming and software development practices for effective instruction and project supervision.
- Proficiency in Data Science, including data analytics, machine learning, or related fields.
- Understanding of Cybersecurity concepts with the ability to integrate security topics into the curriculum.
- Experience in curriculum development, including designing and updating academic programs.
- A relevant doctoral or master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline (PhD preferred for Associate Professor rank).
- Demonstrated research activity through publications in recognized journals or conferences, with a willingness to pursue funded research.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, adopting a student-centered and inclusive teaching approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse academic environment and contribute to departmental governance.
- Prior university-level teaching experience and familiarity with outcome-based education frameworks are advantageous.
