This role involves accurately recording and maintaining daily financial transactions for U.S.-based property management clients. The position supports trust accounting and financial reporting by ensuring all entries are precise and up to date. The individual will play a crucial role in managing financial data that underpins client trust accounts and overall financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record rent receipts, security deposits, vendor payments, and owner disbursements with accuracy.
- Maintain detailed ledgers and journals for both short-term rental (STR) and long-term rental (LTR) clients.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
- Assist in performing monthly bank and trust account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Enter financial data into QuickBooks Online, GetClearing, and VRPlatform, maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Organize and maintain digital records to support audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Part-qualified CA, ACCA affiliate or part-qualified with relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and double-entry accounting.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Online is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
- Effective communication skills and good organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
