Maxobiz is an innovative IT company delivering exceptional design and web development services to clients across more than 30 countries and various industries. Our collaborative team is dedicated to strengthening brand identities worldwide through creative and technical expertise. We are seeking an Associate CMS Developer with 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience, mainly in Shopify and WordPress development, to join our office in Gulberg 3, Lahore.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify stores, including themes, templates, sections, and features tailored to project requirements. Implement responsive, pixel-perfect designs using Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, and Shopify theme architecture. Configure and customize Shopify apps, integrations, and third-party functionalities as needed. Utilize Shopify page builders such as PageFly, Shogun, or GemPages when applicable.
Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including themes, templates, plugins, and page-builder-based sites. Customize WordPress platforms using PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, and relevant development practices. Work with WordPress page builders like Elementor or WPBakery to meet project goals.
Implement responsive front-end designs across Shopify, WordPress, and other CMS platforms. Modify front-end components using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, and Bootstrap. Collaborate closely with designers and developers to ensure accurate UI implementation and a consistent user experience.
Troubleshoot and resolve website bugs, functionality issues, compatibility problems, and performance bottlenecks on Shopify and WordPress sites. Optimize website speed and responsiveness using tools such as GTmetrix and Google PageSpeed Insights. Test websites across multiple devices and browsers to ensure full functionality and usability.
Apply basic technical and on-page SEO best practices on Shopify and WordPress websites. Follow CMS, coding, security, performance, and development best practices. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Shopify, WordPress, and web development.
Manage and update website content, including text, images, products, multimedia, and other elements. Configure CMS settings, website structures, products, collections, and pages.
Use Git and appropriate development workflows for version control, collaboration, and deployment. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards. Coordinate with design, development, SEO, and other teams to achieve project objectives.
Required Qualifications
6 months to 1 year of practical experience in Shopify and WordPress development, with stronger expertise in Shopify preferred.
Proven ability to develop and customize Shopify stores, themes, sections, templates, and storefront components.
Proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, and Shopify theme architecture.
Experience with Shopify apps, integrations, and third-party functionalities is advantageous.
Familiarity with Shopify page builders such as PageFly, Shogun, or GemPages is preferred.
Demonstrated experience developing and customizing WordPress websites, themes, plugins, and page-builder-based sites.
Strong skills in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, and responsive front-end development.
Experience with WordPress page builders like Elementor or WPBakery.
Knowledge of website performance optimization tools such as GTmetrix and Google PageSpeed Insights.
Understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, website troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Basic understanding of SEO implementation and CMS best practices.
Familiarity with Git, staging environments, and standard development workflows.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot website issues independently.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Gulberg 3, Lahore. The working schedule is Monday to Friday plus alternate Saturdays, from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Compensation ranges from PKR 40,000 to 45,000 per month, depending on skills and experience.
