Associate, Demand Planning

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Planner to join our team and contribute to efficient inventory management and demand fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop daily and weekly replenishment plans at the supplier level, considering inventory parameters, actual sell-out data, and planned forecasts.
- Participate actively in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) forecast meetings and adjust forecasts accordingly.
- Calculate accurate supply plans based on generated demand forecasts to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Prepare and update monthly and weekly supply planning documents and KPI reports reflecting actual performance.
- Maintain healthy inventory levels in distribution centers and stores by monitoring target days of cover, availability goals, and shrinkage targets.
- Collaborate closely with the commercial team to refine and adjust forecast plans as needed.
- Coordinate with suppliers to align deliveries and drive fulfillment performance, ensuring timely availability of products.
- Monitor supplier-related issues and escalate when necessary to prevent stockouts or delays.
- Identify slow-moving SKUs and communicate findings to stakeholders to prompt appropriate action.
- Flag SKUs with no inventory movement over the past 28 days for review and resolution.
- Work cross-functionally to support projects, drive initiatives, and resolve operational challenges.
- Perform other relevant tasks as required to support the function and overall business goals.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in demand or supply planning.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP, along with knowledge of SQL.
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and draw actionable conclusions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement and process optimization.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information

- Experience in FMCG or grocery retail sectors is advantageous.
- Background in demand planning for online marketplaces or e-commerce platforms is a plus.
