As the Associate Director, Marketing, you will be instrumental in driving sustainable portfolio growth and delivering meaningful patient outcomes in Pakistan. This leadership role involves defining and executing marketing strategies that span the entire patient journey—from disease awareness and diagnosis to treatment initiation, persistence, and adherence. You will leverage commercial leadership, customer-centric approaches, digital innovation, and cross-functional collaboration to create lasting value for patients, healthcare professionals, and the broader healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of portfolio, therapeutic area, and brand strategies aligned with both affiliate and enterprise priorities. Translate business objectives into differentiated growth strategies, commercial plans, and customer engagement initiatives. Own portfolio performance, commercial forecasting, marketing investments, and budget allocation to maximize patient impact and business results.

Drive launch excellence, lifecycle management, portfolio optimization, and competitive strategy initiatives. Lead evidence-based healthcare professional (HCP) engagement strategies, including customer segmentation, targeting, value proposition development, and omnichannel customer journeys. Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, Sales, Market Access, and Commercial Excellence to create integrated engagement approaches that deliver value to healthcare professionals and patients.

Shape and implement consumer and patient engagement initiatives such as disease awareness activities, patient support programs, and patient experience enhancements, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies. Define and execute the affiliate’s digital and omnichannel marketing strategy across customer touchpoints by leveraging CRM, content, analytics, marketing technologies, and emerging channels.

Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making through customer insights, campaign performance measurement, and marketing effectiveness evaluation. Develop and lead integrated campaigns with clear objectives, measurable outcomes, and continuous optimization. Build, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing team capable of delivering strong business and patient outcomes. Ensure the highest standards of compliance, governance, ethics, and responsible data use across all marketing activities.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related discipline is essential. An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred. You should have at least 12 years of progressive commercial and marketing experience, including significant people leadership responsibility and a proven track record of delivering business results.

Experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is mandatory. Additionally, significant experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector is required, with a strong understanding of customer-centric and regulated marketing environments. Demonstrated success in portfolio and brand strategy development, commercial planning, and business growth delivery is critical.

Proficiency in HCP marketing, consumer and patient engagement, digital transformation, and omnichannel execution is expected. Strong financial acumen, including budget management, forecasting, profitability, and ROI, is necessary. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and influence senior stakeholders within a complex matrix organization is essential. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills are required, along with strong analytical capabilities and a data-driven mindset.

Deep empathy for customers and patients, with the ability to translate insights into effective engagement strategies and business outcomes, is vital. Knowledge of compliant HCP, DOL and KOL engagement, patient support program governance, data privacy requirements, and pharmaceutical promotional standards will be considered an advantage.
