Associate Product Manager – Data & APIs

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Product Manager – Data & APIs to join our product team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in data products, APIs, and software development and will work closely with engineering, data, and business teams to define, build, and improve data-driven products and API solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in defining and managing the product roadmap for data products and APIs.
Work closely with engineering, data science, and development teams to translate business requirements into clear product requirements.
Gather, analyze, and document requirements for APIs, data services, and integrations.
Create and maintain Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), user stories, acceptance criteria, and API-related documentation.
Work with technical teams to understand API architecture, endpoints, authentication, data formats, and integrations.
Monitor API performance, availability, usage, and key product metrics.
Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for product improvement.
Coordinate with stakeholders to prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
Support API testing and validation to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and consistency.
Collaborate with developers to ensure APIs are user-friendly, scalable, and properly documented.
Conduct competitor and market research to identify opportunities for new data and API products.
Collect feedback from internal and external API users and incorporate insights into product improvements.
Track product releases and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure successful delivery.
Assist in troubleshooting product and API-related issues and coordinate their resolution.
Maintain clear documentation of product requirements, workflows, data sources, and API specifications.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
1–2 years of experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, Data Products, APIs, Business Analysis, or a related role.
Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, authentication, and API integrations.
Good understanding of databases and data concepts, preferably Postgres SQL.
Familiarity with software development and the SDLC.
Experience working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or similar tools is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

Basic knowledge of Python, JavaScript.
Experience working with Postman, Postgres SQL, and API documentation.
Understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, databases, and data quality.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Experience working with SaaS products or data-driven platforms.
