Associate Quality Assurance Engineer

Cloudelligent, an AWS Premier Consulting Partner specializing in cloud modernization, migration, and innovation, is looking for an Associate Quality Assurance Engineer to join its team in Lahore. This role focuses on testing and validating Cloudelligent’s proprietary SaaS and AI-enabled products built on AWS. It is an excellent opportunity for early-career QA professionals to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment centered around Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions. The position requires working hours from 6 PM to 3 AM Pakistan Time (PKT) to align with the company’s global operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing on web-based and AI-driven applications to ensure high product quality.
- Execute a variety of testing types including smoke, regression, functional, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment testing.
- Leverage AI-assisted development and testing tools such as Kiro to facilitate specification-driven testing, generate test cases, and manage QA documentation workflows.
- Run manual test scripts, accurately record results, and maintain detailed test documentation within JIRA.
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear, reproducible steps to support timely resolution.
- Assist in expanding test coverage across web applications and AI-related workflows.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, including the adoption of AI-driven testing tools as experience grows.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to understand requirements and design specifications.
- Gain hands-on experience with SaaS, AI, and cloud technologies through active participation in testing activities.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
- Basic understanding of frontend and backend testing concepts.
- Willingness and ability to quickly learn new technologies, including AI and cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, EKS, and S3; training will be provided.
- Ability to write clear and concise test cases and detailed bug reports.
- Basic SQL skills for backend data validation or a strong willingness to learn.
- Understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodologies and experience with JIRA is advantageous.
- Solid grasp of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software testing fundamentals.
- Basic programming knowledge, preferably Python, is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working within a global, distributed team environment.
- Curiosity about or prior exposure to AI-assisted development/testing tools such as Kiro or GitHub Copilot is highly valued.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- AWS certifications, such as Cloud Practitioner or AI Practitioner, are desirable.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding or testing tools like Kiro enhances candidacy.
- Exposure to AI/ML testing concepts is a plus.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines or DevOps environments is beneficial.
