The Associate / Senior Associate Underwriting Motor position is a full-time, on-site role based in Karachi. This role involves assessing motor insurance proposals, analyzing risk profiles, and determining appropriate coverage terms, conditions, and premium rates in accordance with company underwriting guidelines. The incumbent will review documentation, coordinate with sales and operations teams, and ensure timely and accurate policy issuance. Additionally, the role requires monitoring portfolio performance, supporting renewal decisions, and contributing to the enhancement of underwriting processes and standards. Maintaining high levels of customer service, compliance, and documentation quality is essential, alongside close collaboration with internal stakeholders to drive growth in the motor insurance segment.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess motor insurance proposals by analyzing risk factors and determining suitable coverage and premium rates aligned with underwriting guidelines.
- Review and verify documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate effectively with sales, operations, and other internal teams to facilitate smooth policy issuance and renewals.
- Monitor portfolio performance and assist in making informed renewal decisions to optimize risk management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for underwriting processes and standards to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
- Ensure strict adherence to compliance and regulatory frameworks governing motor insurance underwriting.

Required Qualifications
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills specific to motor insurance underwriting, with the ability to evaluate proposals and determine appropriate coverage and pricing.
- Proficiency in data analysis, including advanced MS Excel skills and basic reporting capabilities to track portfolio performance and support decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and provide clear, professional responses to stakeholders.
- Keen attention to detail and sound judgment to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site work environment in Karachi, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field. Professional certifications in insurance or risk management are advantageous.
- Prior experience in motor insurance underwriting or general insurance operations is highly desirable.
