We are looking for a passionate and self-driven Associate Software Engineer specializing in backend development to join our growing development team. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers to design, build, maintain, and optimize scalable backend services. This position is well-suited for candidates who have a solid foundation in programming and are eager to expand their knowledge by learning new technologies, frameworks, and best practices in software development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs.
- Collaborate effectively with frontend developers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code under the guidance of senior developers.
- Participate actively in code reviews, sprint planning sessions, and daily stand-ups.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in both development and production environments.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new tools, programming languages, and development methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Node.js.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
- Understanding of databases, including SQL and/or NoSQL systems.
- Basic knowledge of version control tools, particularly Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a genuine passion for building reliable software.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Approximately 1 year of experience in backend development.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience working with Docker or other containerized environments.
- Exposure to Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
