Associate Sr Mobile Solution Engineer-Android

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our Offshore Development Center in Lahore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing clean, maintainable, and testable code while implementing advanced native user interfaces for various Android devices. This role involves analyzing complex features, delivering practical solutions, and mentoring junior developers to ensure adherence to the latest development standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Write high-quality, idiomatic code that is both testable and maintainable.
- Analyze large features and develop practical, efficient solutions.
- Design and implement custom native user interfaces using the latest Android programming techniques.
- Conceptualize and develop applications compatible with all types of Android devices.
- Provide guidance and support to junior developers, keeping them updated on current development methodologies and best practices.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in native Android mobile application development.
- Strong expertise in MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proficient in Kotlin, including coroutines, higher-order functions, and extension functions.
- Hands-on experience with ProGuard for multi-module projects.
- Test-driven development experience using JUnit, Mockito, and/or Espresso.
- Practical experience working with Android Jetpack components.
- Skilled in programming and conducting peer code reviews.
- Proficient in building UI and animations using XML and custom UI components.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, and MVI.
- Experience with dependency injection frameworks, specifically Dagger Hilt.
- Familiarity with Android Architecture Components like LiveData and Navigation.
- Knowledge of database management systems such as SQLite, Realm, or ROOM.
- Experience integrating web services using REST, JSON, and XML.
- Proficient with version control systems, including Git and VSTS code management.
- Strong interest in AI and emerging technologies within the mobile development domain.
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications and Keywords

- Familiarity with Android Studio, Android SDK, Java, Kotlin, RxJava, Kotlin Coroutines, LiveData, Retrofit, Glide, Jetpack Compose, ViewBinding, DataBinding, Realtime Database, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), Work Manager, and Firebase.
- Experience with Xcode and Swift is a plus.
- Knowledge of VSTS code management is advantageous but not mandatory.
