Associate Supply Chain Planner

Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure optimal pricing and terms, considering factors such as price, availability, payment terms, shipping, return privileges, and timely delivery.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing risks related to aging or obsolete stock.
- Provide guidance and thought leadership to sales and customer teams on purchasing strategies and inventory management.
- Oversee the execution of purchase orders based on demand, lead times, location, availability, and pricing.
- Collaborate with distributors and manufacturers to set and achieve category goals, including forecasting inventory needs by warehouse location.
- Manage overall spend for assigned categories from start to finish, ensuring maximum value.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, focusing on total cost of ownership (TCO) improvements.
- Develop and maintain alternative sourcing options for constrained or allocated products.
- Foster strong inter-departmental relationships to support the achievement of business objectives.
- Communicate professionally and build relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and other external partners.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of category-specific terminology and technology.
- Supervise and manage team members within the immediate area of responsibility, which may include associate buyers and pricing specialists located locally or internationally.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is mandatory.
- 1-2 years of experience working in an offshore or outsourced model, ideally within a combined sales, operations, or supply chain function. Experience in the reseller hardware/software industry is preferred.
- Basic understanding of information technology products and terminology is advantageous.
